Two In Court For Alleged Drugs Possession

Man and woman charged with possession of £250,000 worth of drugs

Detectives investigating the seizure of Class A and B drugs worth an estimated £260,000 following searches at three properties in Bangor on Friday (20th May) have charged a man aged 34 with a number of offences including possession of a Class A and Class B controlled drug and possession of a Class A and Class B drugs with intent to supply.

A woman aged 42 has also been charged with a number of offences, including possession of a Class A and Class B controlled drug and being concerned in the supply of a Class A and Class B controlled drug.

They are both expected to appear before Newtownards Magistrates’ Court sitting in Downpatrick on Monday 23rd May.

As is normal procedure all charges are reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.xa0xa0

Two other men, aged 30 and 60, arrested in relation to this incident have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
