Two Great Shows Coming To Down Arts Centre

Teresa Livingstone is ‘Delighted’ to Share the Weekend Arts Bill with Rumours Retold: a Tribute to Fleetwood Mac.

On Friday 13 and Saturday 14 October, Down Arts Centre will present two fantastic live performances not to be missed.

Performing first on Friday 13 October is comedian Teresa Livingstone who brings her one woman show, ‘Delighted’ to Down Arts Centre after sell out shows at the Grand Opera House and the Lyric Theatre.

Rumours Retold will be rocking the walls of the Down Arts Centre. 

One of the of the stars of BBC Northern Ireland’s comedy show, Late Licence, Teresa is a musical comedian whose original and hilarious songs cover everything from sleazebags in bars to workplace hatred with a bit of cake and wine thrown in for good measure.

Teresa Livingstone is delighted: delighted things are going so well for everyone else; delighted with her ever-fluctuating weight; delighted for the well-meaning women in her life; she’s even delighted for you, well done on all you’ve achieved. 

With a piano, a gin, and the voice of a woman who has reached the point of no return, Teresa is ready to share her witty songs and deliver a powerful and hilarious tirade about the plight of the thirty-something single lady.

The performance starts at 8pm with bar facilities from 7pm. The performance is supported by Lorcan McGrane. Tickets are available at Box Office priced £12 per person and £10 for concessions.

For Fleetwood Mac fans, a one-off live performance of their biggest selling album, ‘Rumours’, will be performed at the Down Arts Centre on Saturday 14 October by the hugely talented band, Rumours Retold.

It’s been 40 years and over 45 million sales since Warner Brothers released ‘Rumours’, still Fleetwood Mac’s biggest selling album, and the soundtrack to a turbulent time in the band’s career. This will be a unique opportunity to hear the iconic ‘Rumours’ album in its entirety, including some new interpretations and exclusive arrangements of other great Fleetwood Mac hits.

Rumours Retold will join forces with O.M.G house band to bring the album to life and includes  talented artists, Becky Baxter, Gavin Scott, Brigid O’Neill, Anthony Toner, Stevie Moore, Gary Lutton, Billy Cook, Matty Rea, Suzy Coyle, Ellen Weir and Cormac Neeson to name but a few.

Bar facilities are open from 7pm and the performance begins at 8pm. Tickets costs £12 per person and £10 for concessions, available from Box Office on 028 4461 0747.
