South Eastern HSC Trust Comms Team Wins Best Social Media Campaign For Public Sector

The South Eastern Trust’s Communications Team is delighted to have scooped ‘Best Social Media Campaign in the Public Sector’ at this year’s prestigious NI Social Media Awards

The team was also shortlisted in an incredible five categories and celebrated being runner-up in, ‘Social Media In-House Team of the Year’ and ‘Digital In-House Team of the Year.’

The Northern Ireland Social Media Awards (NISMAs) honours and recognises freelancers, individuals, teams, agencies and businesses delivering social media marketing and demonstrating excellence in their work.

The awards are judged by an independent awards jury, made up of leaders in the social media marketing industry throughout the world.

Head of Communications, Jane Loughrey said: “I am absolutely thrilled and enormously proud that the team was rewarded for all its hard work and constant creativity.

“We always strive to think a little differently, get to the heart of the story we are trying to tell and create inspirational videos and graphics which both inform the public and celebrate the fantastic work that takes place in the Trust.”

The winning campaign, which celebrated the 75th birthday of the NHS honoured the past, embraced the present and celebrated everyone who works across health and social care in Northern Ireland.

With the health service under enormous pressure, the Communications Team was faced with the task of engaging the public to mark this historic milestone. 

Some of the posts in this campaign included the ‘SET SNAPSHOT’ an engaging infographic which illustrated the extensive amount of work carried out in the Trust over the past 12 months; a post that featured a long serving staff member who has devoted his life to helping others and the public’s favourite – the births of a record breaking four sets of twins, delivered in the Ulster Hospital on the 75th birthday of the NHS! 

Digital Communications Manager, Katie English said: “I am so proud of our achievements at this year’s NI Social Media Awards.

“This recognition not only celebrates the team’s outstanding efforts to stay ahead of the latest trends but also highlights our dedication to inform, educate and empower both our staff and patients with the power of social media.”
