Grants up to £10,000 available for tourism events in Ards and North Down

Have you got a great idea for an event? Tourism Events Grant Scheme Open for Applications! 

Calling all event organisers! Ards and North Down Borough Council’s Tourism Events Grant Scheme is now open for applications with grants of up to £10,000 available.

Applications are being invited from organisations wishing to run a tourism event in Ards and North Down between April 2022 and March 2023. The event must have the potential to deliver economic benefits to the Borough.

The Mayor of Ards and North Down, Councillor Mark Brooks, said: “The Tourism Events Grant Scheme has supported a range of fantastic events in the past such as the Portaferry Gala, Music in the Park and Ireland’s Strongest Man Competition.

“The scheme is designed to boost tourism across Ards and North Down and will encourage organisers to bring more events to our beautiful Borough, helping to increase footfall while also providing a boost to our local economy.” 

Applications opened on Thursday 21 October 2021 and will close at midday on Friday 12 November 2021.
