Thieves Target Health Care Centres In Down District

POLICE in Newcastle are appealing for information on a fire at a doctor’s surgery in Causeway Place.

Officers responded to an alarm at the premises on 14 October at 10pm and found the front porch to be on fire. Fire Service personnel also arrived and extinguished the flames.

Police are treating the fire as malicious and are appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time of the incident to contact them on 0845 600 8000.

On October 13 medication was taken during a burglary at a nursing home on the Killough Road in Downpatrick and police have issued a warming about the dangers this may cause in taken.

The tablets are used to treat serious illness and should not be taken without a doctor’s consent. They are:u2028•xa0Gadabentin u2028•xa0Risperidonexa0 u2028•xa0Tegretol u2028•xa0Prometehazine u2028•xa0Coratadine u2028•xa0Omeprazole u2028•xa0Toprimate u2028•xa0Chloromazine u2028•xa0Steraline
