The Shimna Basketball Stars On High

The evening of outdoor activities organised by Life One Great Adventure and Dr Fun Entertainments culminated with a barbeque, disco and presentation of awards to the athletes. Thanking all who attended Club Manager Daniel Hardy praised the efforts of the athletes, the families and the volunteers who manage and attend the club each week. The club has grown in stature during the past year and was in fact able to field four teams in the recent Inter Club Basketball Tournament held in Antrim. Fielding two teams in both the Junior and Senior sections.

“> Such was the strength and ability of the teams that the senior team regained the Shield after great team displays throughout the day. Congratulations and well done to all who attended. Daniel also thanked the staff and members of Shimna College for the use of their premises during the season; the use of this facility has been of enormous value to the club.
