The Orange And Black In Castlewellan Join To Fight Covid-19

Castlewellan District LOL No. 12 and Royal Black District Chapter No. 3 have combined forces to assist our Health Service and in particular the local practitioners in the fight against Covid – 19.

A spokesperson said: “Last week the initiative was able to distribute the final batch of its sanitiser to Nurse Julie Ritchie CNLD who accepted it from Castlewellan District No.12 Treasurer David Scott. It will be used by the South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust Community Children’s and Adult Nursing Disability teams.

“The District also received its share of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland’s consignment of PPE and this has been shared out to a number of areas. It has also been able to use its contacts to secure a small quantity of visors which were urgently needed by a local care home.”
