The Harry Clarke Cup Draw For 2025

Newcastle And District Amateur Football League hold Harry Clarke Cup Semi-final Draws

With a roll of the drums, Kieran McMahon, Treasurer of the Newcastle and District Amateur Football League (NADAFL), called out the teams drawn to play in the Harry Clarke Semi-Final.

First team drawn was Killough FC, drawn as the home team to play Ardglass FC. This match will take place on Friday 28th March at 7.30pm at the Robert Adams 3G pitch in Crossgar.

Next team drawn was Strangford FC were drawn as the home team to play Downpatrick FC. This match will take place on Friday 4th April at 7.30pm at the Robert Adams 3 G pitch in Crossgar.

These teams have battled their way to the semi-final stage and whatever happens, whoever wins, soccer fans are in for a treat as these rivals slog it out for a place in the Harry Clarke Final.

The Harry Clarke Cup is played in memory of a former member and it has become the grand finale of the soccer season for the league.

There are now 37 teams in the NADAFL which was founded in August 1951 as the Newcastle Winter League playing across three leagues.

Who will take home the silver this season? Four teams will fight it out for the bragging rights. There can only be one winner and judging by results this season these matches could be close-cut affairs.

It’s all to play for. The Harry Cup draw was held at the Burrendale Hotel in Newcastle on Thursday 6th March and Ardglass FC, Downpatrick FC, Killough FC and Strangford FC were in the semi-final draw.
