Tea Dance In The Millbrook Lodge Hotel

County Down Rural Community Network (CDRCN), organised an ‘Afternoon Tea Dance’ in the Millbrook Lodge Hotel – bringing seniors together who took part in the ‘Small Steps to a Feel Good Future Project’.

This project has been supported by the Public Health Agency through its CLEAR Project. Lise Curran (left), of CDRCN was delighted with the success of the event and the project, which aimed to build confidence, provide opportunities to network and connect socially with peers.

The initiative also aimed to reduce social isolation and target participants to local services. Joining Lise from the CDRCN are colleague Heather Holland (centre) and Wendy McDowell of the South Eastern Trust (right), and on the dance floor are (from left) are Anne Degan from Crossgar, David McCarter from Saintfield, Dermot Giles from Downpatrick and Rosaleen Ward from Newcastle.xa0
