Swansea City AFC Academy Hold Workshop And Talent ID Centre At Warrenpoint FC

Premier League Club Swansea City AFC Academy staff recently delivered a coach education workshop at Warrenpoint Town FC.

The workshop attended by 40+ coaches from across Northern Ireland and the Republic if Ireland consisted of practical sessions and a theory workshop delivered by Swansea City Academy staff Roy Thomas, Darran Jones, Aaron McNeill and Joe Carlow.

Aaron McNeill said: “The workshop provided local coaches and clubs an opportunity to enhance their own personal development and offer an insight into the coaching philosophies, methodologies and curriculum of the academy.

“We have an established Talent ID centre in Belfast and we are pleased to announce we will opening a Talent ID Centre in Warrenpoint for U9-U11 players.”

A Warrenpoint Town spokesperson added: “To work in partnership with Swansea to deliver this coaching session is a fantastic opportunity. We are delighted to be able to welcome the enhancement of the partnership to include the Talent ID academy for U9-U11 players from our local area and see them have this opportunity”.

Trial Dates – Tuesday 2nd February 2016

Clubs are asked to nominate players they believe have the potential to become part of Swansea City at U-9 and U-11 age groups.

Please note that nominated players should individually self-register via the Swans’ website by Saturday 23rd January 2016.

There is a £3 registration fee.
