RONAN McVeigh, Chairman of Bryansford GAC, has said his club is organising a fundraising afternoon to collect donations to support the Doyle family from Leitrim after Ryan Doyle died tragically in Australia a week ago.
He said: “Our friends at Liatroim GAC have organised an evening, this Sunday (25 November) xa0for people wishing to donate money towards the Doyle Family to help get Ryan’s body home from Australia. The cost is anticipated to be in the region of £25,000 and to this end I would call on the Gaels of Bryansford to make a contribution.
“This Sunday between 2-3pm we will be taking donations and opening a book of condolence in the Social Club. Later in the evening myself and other members will take the funds collected along with a Club Donation to Liatroim Club where it can be forwarded to this invaluable trust.
“I hope we will get your support and please spread the word to everybody even if it means repeating emails and social media contacts.”
