Strangford Ferry Fares To Increase Says DfI

Department for Infrastructure announces intention to increase Strangford Lough and Rathlin Island Ferry fares

The Department for Infrastructure has announced its intention to increase fares on Strangford Lough and Rathlin Island ferry service.

The change to fares will be subject to a statutory 30-day notice period that is due to commence on 27 October.

The De[artment for Infrastructure is proposing to increase the price of trips on the Strangford and Rathlin Island ferries. They have set out the statutory notice starting from 27th October.

The New Proposed Rates

The proposed fare increases which is out to consultation for 30 days from 27th October 2025.
