St Malachy’s Students In Castlewellan Serve Up Success For Macmillan Cancer

On Wednesday 28th September, St Malachy’s High School Year 11 students hosted their very own Coffee Morning for students and staff.

The Year 11 students are embarking upon the new Prince’s Trust Qualification entitled, ACHIEVE. The primary aim of the qualification is to allow the students to get involved in their local community and make a difference

They were taking part in The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning, Macmillan Cancer’s national fundraising event for people facing cancer. The students and their parents provided the tea and coffee and baked their own biscuits, buns and cakes for the event.

The students raised over £700 for the charity and showed us all what young generous hearts can achieve when they put their aprons on.

Well done St Malachy’s High School!
