Irish Medium Students from St Malachy’s High School, Castlewellan took part recently in the annual Bunscoil an Iúir Irish Language Public Speaking competition in Gaeláras Mhic Ardghail in Newry.
The pupils had to prepare a three minute speech on, ‘The Importance of Irish to me in the Modern World.’

A huge well done to Elisha who was delighted with obtaining 2nd place in the post primary section (second right).
