Given that we’re on the verge of Halloween our walking group headed for the spookily named Slievenagore on Sunday past (27th October). It was a wonderful bright blue sky day and great to be out in the mountains especially as we navigated our way off the main routes. Views were magnificent – we could see across Carlingford Lough and Dundalk Bay and follow the Irish coastline around as far as Wicklow.  The Autumn / Winter list of walks is now out promising new ground every month for those with itchy feet. Next up is a walk from Meelmore Lodge on Saturday coming (2nd November) which also doubles as a Leave No Trace Training events – bring lunch
