Walking Group: Tormanrock

Our walking group went into the Mournes on Saturday. In a change from the listed walk we went to Leitrim Lodge and proceeded along group the original Ulster Way. The mountains are now in the autumnal colours but low cloud put paid to any chance of panoramic views. We look right at the first crossroads and ascended Tormanrock, followed along the rocky ridge and dropped back down the other side to pick up the new route of Ulster Way and return to base.

Our next outing will be on Saturday 11 November but the destination has not yet been decided. Indeed the whole of the Autumn schedule is out the window – instead we will be spreading our wings further with a number of bus trips to various destinations. WATCH THIS SPACE for details. Non walkers welcome.

Contact Kevin McGlynn on 078 3596 0804 for further details.
