St John’s GAC Notes For 14th November 2021

Club notes from St John’s GAC, Drumnaquoile

Well done to our U15 ladies last Thursday evening playing in their Championship Final against Saul. On what had to be the worst night with the weather to be possibly playing such an important game, unfortunately it wasn’t the Johnnies night writes Sarah Cunningham.

The girls had come so far, winning their league only to be knocked at the last hurdle. Everyone at St John’s are so proud of these girls and their management. We look forward to seeing them back in action in 2022.xa0

Congratulations to our U20’s men who played Attical last Sunday in their first game of the Joe Donnan Cup League. It was a great game and the Johnnies were on top form. Full time score St John’s 7.16 – Attical 2.08Well done lads!xa0

They have a home game against Newry Shamrock’s this Sunday, 21st November. Throw in at Pairc Naomh Eoin is 12.30pm.xa0Good luck lads!xa0

Following our very successful collection for The Pantry Foodbank last year in raising the biggest donation they’d received, we have been asked by members to arrange a collection this year again.

Even if you can’t fill a hamper all through Advent, all donations are very gratefully received.
The club is open most evenings now so feel free to drop donations in. Last day for donations is 11th December to allow time for The Pantry Foodbank to organise and distribute the items collected.

Our AGM (Annual General Meeting) is being held tonight, Wednesday 17th November.xa0All members welcome.xa0
