New Year Walks: Join Sam and Kevin for a series of gentle walks in our beautiful countryside in January and February!

We will take gentle steps closer to nature, learn something of the ecology of these places and build our connections with these wild and ancient places.

Walks will start at 10.00am and finish about 11.30-12.00am ⏰

Fri 5th Jan 2024: Harness the Qi of the Sea – Bloody Bridge Coastal Path: Meet 10.00am – Bloody Bridge Car Park on Ballagh Road (Newcastle to Kilkeel Rd): Step into the New Year with this scenic coastal walk by The Bloody Bridge. Learn an ancient Qigong technique called ‘harnessing the Qi/Chi of the sea’ to renew and replenish our own energy – which often needs a bit of a boost in January!

Fri 12th Jan: Woodland Wander through Tollymore Forest: Join us for a wander in beautiful Tollymore as we connect to our senses, observe the language of Ogham and learn from the ‘wisdom of trees’.

Fri 19th Jan: Mindful Meander in Murlough: Did you know that walking can be a form of mindfulness which can foster a state of calm and connection? Join us for this mindful walk in Murlough Nature Reserve and create a group Mandala.

Fri 26th Jan: Magical Fairy Glen, Rostrevor: CS Lewis was inspired by the magic of the land around Kilbroney, Rostrevor. Expect a walk filled with enchantment!

Fri 2nd Feb: Imbolg – Celebrate St Brigid’s at Lough Money: Imbolg marks the beginning of Spring in the Celtic tradition. Kevin will guide us on this walk around Lough Money and we will make St Brigid’s crosses from rushes

Fri 9th Feb: Scenic Slievenaslat: Trees, trails, tea houses and triangulation; duck ponds and lakes, we will wind our way through Castlewellan Forest Park to take in the views from Slievenaslat and finish this series of walks on a high point.
