Underage Football A few girls dusted down their boots on Sunday and got out for their first kick about of 2015. U14 and U16 girls got their 2015 season underway with an entertaining encounter against some of the club’s senior players and the reports are that the underage girls gave the senior ladies a run for their money.

C.O.F. Club Officer Forums will be taking place over the next two Monday evenings, we look forward to seeing you all there!As part of an initiative by Coiste Bainisti we will be hosting two Forums which will allow Club Officers to discuss their roles with and gain assistance from the relevant County Officer.

The forums will take place in the Burrendale Hotel at 7.30pm on 26th January and 2nd February. Can we ensure that all Clubs are represented as this will be an opportunity for new officer bearers and experienced officer bearers to ensure that we in Down GAA are working as a vibrant unit of our Association. MEMBERSHIP 2015 Club Membership for 2015 is now due with forms available by clicking on the link on the St Bronagh’s website. As always there are various types of Membership, with all of the rates for this year available to view in the link above or in the Membership section. It is imperative that all players AND mentors are paid up members of the club.

ALL SENIOR/SECONDS/THIRDS/LADIES PLAYERS MUST HAVE MEMBERSHIP PAID BY 2ND MARCH 2015. ANY OTHER PLAYERS MUST HAVE THEIR MEMBERSHIP PAID BEFORE THEY PLAY. ALL OTHER MEMBERS MUST BE PAID BY APRIL 20TH TO BE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY FOR COUNTY MATCH TICKETS.

2 CPD Workshops taking place in Co. Down next week: Monday 26th Jan 2015 – “Planning The Pre Season” St John’s GAC Drumnaquoile – 7.15pm SHARP. This workshop is open to coaches of players aged 16 and above from both Hurling and Football backgrounds. This is an indoor theory workshop which will be delivered by Ulster GAA’s Kevin Kelly.

Tuesday 27th Jan 2015 – “GAA Activate Warm Up” St John’s GAC, Drumnaquoile – 8pm Sharp This workshop is open to coaches of players aged 16 and above from both Hurling and Football backgrounds. This is an indoor theory workshop which will be delivered by Ulster GAA’s Gary Mallon. Both of the above workshops are free of charge to anyone who wishes to attend. This is a crucial time of year for coaches wishing to better and improve themselves. We look forward to seeing a great turn out at both workshops.
