Sinn Féin Welcomes New Dundrum Road Safety Upgrades

Road safety upgrade beside Dundrum Primary

South Down Sinn Féin MLA Cathy Mason and Slieve Croob Councillor Roisin Howell have welcomed the installation of the much-needed road safety upgrade at a Dundrum primary school.

Following a visit to the installation site, Cathy Mason said: “We warmly welcome the new crossing lights at the Sacred Heart Primary School in Dundrum. This is a vital step in improving road safety for children, parents, and staff.

“This achievement is a testament to the hard work and determination of the school community, particularly the children themselves who passionately lobbied for this much-needed safety measure.

“Their voices have made a real difference, and we commend their efforts in highlighting the importance of safer routes to school.

Cllr Howell added: “Speaking to a number of parents this morning whilst the installation was happening it is clear the benefit the entire community will feel from this.xa0xa0

“Ensuring the safety of our young people is a top priority, and we are delighted to see this project come to fruition.

“We will continue to work alongside the local community to secure further improvements that make our roads safer for everyone”.xa0xa0
