Thinking of others at Christmas…

It’s quite easy at this time of year to get caught up in the festive rush and forget that not everyone is so well off.

With this thought in mind, Shimna Stars Special Olympic Club, athletes, volunteers and family members, organised a non-perishable food collection over recent weeks and donated the items to ‘’The Pantry’’ – the Newcastle food bank.

Receiving the items on behalf of the food bank, Yvonne Maginn and Mr Granville Crory thanked Shimna Stars for their generous contribution and wished everyone success for the future and a very Merry Christmas.
