Shannon Offers Sympathy To Family Of Killyleagh Crash Victim

Strangford MP Jim Shannon has expressed his deep sympathy to the family of the confirmed young man that has lost his lives on the Coily Hill Road in Killyleagh over the weekend.

Jim Shannon MP.

Mr Shannon said: “The section of the road that the accident took place on is well known to me as the Killyleagh show was held on it annually. It is a twisty wee road and as soon as I heard of the accident, my fears were that there would be loss of life.

“My heart aches for the families of those young people and I know that I speak on behalf of my community when I say that you are in our thoughts and prayers at this time and in the days ahead. For the other passengers I offer my prayers for a full recovery.

“To hear of the loss of life in this way is truly tragic and as a community we stand with these families in their immense grief and pain.

“I would urge anyone with any information to come forward to try to make sense of all of this.”
