South Eastern Regional College (SERC)xa0is promoting a programme designed to help local unemployed residents attain accredited qualifications and FREE driving lessons.xa0SERC in conjunction with DSD has launched ‘Driving To Success’.

SERC is providing 30 free places on the Drive to Success programme[/caption]Thirty residents from the Downpatrick Neighbourhood Renewal area aged seventeen and over will be put in the driving seat and will be given the opportunity to pick up the pace on their own careers with eighteen free driving lessons and an opportunity to obtain a full driving licence.
This unique and innovative programme is an intensive fifteen week course offering the unemployed and underemployed an opportunity to gain accredited vocational qualifications in areas including oil boiler maintenance, retail, photography, DJ-ing and beauty therapy as well as recognised qualifications in IT, employability skills and personal development. The programme will place participants on the right track and steer them to success.
