SERC Little Mermaid Panto Ready To Roll

The Little Mermaid Swims into Bangor for Panto Season

Students from South Eastern Regional College (SERC) are diving into pantomime season with a spectacular production of The Little Mermaid, at SERC’s SPACE Theatre, Castle Park Road, Bangor from Thursday 10 to Sunday 13 December.

The production features a cast and crew of 22 students from SERC’s HND Performing Arts course, showcasing their skills in acting, singing, dancing, stage management and technical production. Supporting the production behind the scenes are students from the Level 2 Theatrical Media Make-up course who are helping to transform the cast into a host of colourful underwater characters.

Written by renowned pantomime author Tom Whalley, The Little Mermaid follows the story of Aria, a young mermaid who dreams of exploring the world above the waves despite the wishes of her father, King Neptune.

After rescuing the handsome Prince Bodhi from a storm at sea, Aria falls in love, only to find her happiness threatened by the wicked Octavia, who is plotting to seize the throne of Atlantis.
