SERC Awarded Major Tender To Develop Aspiring Future Leaders

South Eastern Regional College (SERC) have been awarded a major tender to deliver a prestigious graduate management programme from the Department for the Economy (DfE).

The 24-week Entry to Management Graduate Programme is Northern Ireland’s longest established graduate programme and is designed to develop graduates looking to kick-start their career or upskill in their current role.

South Eastern Regional College has been awarded a major tender to deliver the Entry to Management Graduate Programme from the Department for the Economy (DfE). It is aimed at participants who have a minimum level 5 qualification who aspire to become future leaders. Participants on the course will be placed with a top Northern Ireland company where they will complete a Chartered Institute of Management (CIM) level 5 leadership and management qualification. Participants will study one night a week to complete the qualification. The qualification is also available through distance learning via online modules for those worried about travelling.

An initial 50 graduates will undertake the intensive management training programme which will have a have a strong focus on leadership, return on investment, innovation, creative thinking, management and communication. For participants that complete the programme there is a potential offer of employment with their employers.

The Programme will be led by Jenny McConnell SERC Leadership and Management Consultant. Jenny said: “We are delighted to win this tender which will provide graduates with valuable employability skills whilst at the same time gaining an additional CIM endorsed qualification.

“SERC is well placed to run this programme and its objectives as we have a strong track record in delivering innovative, challenging courses. We understand the need for good, well-qualified talented managers who can make a lasting contribution, and the Entry to Management programme brings both of these themes together in a 24-week programme delivered by SERC.”
