See And Hear Art In Creative Peninsula Exhibitions

A new addition to the annual Creative Peninsula event organised by Ards Borough Council, the ‘late night art’ sessions combine the visual with the auditory, as visitors stroll the centre’s galleries, enjoying the art along with the atmospheric music provided by acoustic guitarists Matthew Malcolm (14 August) and Paul McMordie (21 August).xa0dn_screen Featuring an exclusive and diverse collection of work from artists and craftspeople living and working in Ards, the main Creative Peninsula exhibition in Ards Arts Centre is complemented by a show in the Sunburst Gallery featuring work by aspiring and talented young artists studying at GCSE, AS and A level.xa0 Also yet to come in the programme is the ‘Creative Courtyard’ (10 August), an event which will bring more than 10 local artists and craftspeople together in The Stables courtyard in Portaferry to showcase and demonstrate their work, as well as chat informally about what inspires them.
