Could you take part in the Big Lunch walk?

Michael Conlon, Big Lunch walk participant 2018 said: “Representing Northern Ireland on the 2018 Big Lunch walk, I connected with people making good things happen from the big smokes of Belfast and Derry to the small villages of Fivemiletown and Bellaghy, and it gave me a great sense of pride and contentment that the future will be great for Northern Ireland. Literally thousands of people get out of bed every day to make Northern Ireland a better place to live and flourish.”

The Big Lunch walkersxa0will train together at the Eden Project, before visiting over 100 community projects and initiatives across the UK, many of which hold annual Big Lunches. They will meet the people behind these initiatives, and celebratexa0their inspiring stories.xa0The walkers will also join the Eden Project Communities team in March for two pop-up weekends to raise early awareness of the Big Lunch and encourage people to get involved and join in.

Peter Stewart, Executive Director of The Big Lunch said:xa0“We’re looking for friendly folk who love to bring people together as much as we do. We’re going out across the UK to celebrate the positive and amazing people at the heart of our communities; so if you’re passionate about community and fancy joining us for a stroll next May, now is the time to apply.”
