Saul GAC Notes

WITH the new season now approaching, the club is looking for anyone who wishes to assist with coaching or managing any of our teams for the year ahead. If you are interested, please let us know by Tuesday 15xa0January. Even if you are only able to help with our underage teams at the Thursday evening sessions, we would appreciate your help writes Mark McGrath.
Many thanks to those who attended Peter’s anniversary Mass on New Year’s day. Good luck to the Ballad Group and all the representatives from Down in the Scor na nÓg Ulster Final this Saturday evening in St Cecelia’s College, Derry beginning at 5pm. Juvenile presentations will take place on Saturday 26xa0January. Registration day is on Sunday 3xa0February. Times will be confirmed next week. All players will be required under new GAA rules to wear mouthguards for the incoming season. At registration we will have further details on this and what it means for everyone who takes to the field in 2013. The County draw tickets for 2013 are now on sale and we are looking forward to improving on last year’s sales, to raise much needed club funds for improvements to the facilities we have at St Patrick’s Park. Our club won over £3,000 worth of prizes in this draw in 2012. If you’re not in, you can’t win! Forms are available from the club this Thursday evening from 7pm and next Tuesday from 7-9pm. If you would like to join, please contact us as soon as possible. Congratulations to Niall and Nuala Powderly on their new arrival, Jude. That’s two thirds of a half forward line now complete! There will be a Committee meeting this Thursday evening at 8pm. Full committee expected to attend.
