Saintfield Is To Stage Christmas Fair

The Saintfield Christmas Fair is set for Friday 5 December from 6.30pm to 9pm.

The Main Street will therefore be closed to vehicular traffic from the 6pm until 9.30pm. and drivers should plan their route accordingly.

dn_screenOrganised by the Saintfield Development Association, there will be plenty of attractions to keep the kids entertained and Santa will be there to distribute sweets to them. There will be a good selection of stalls to browse for Christmas goodies and there will be school choirs singing festive songs and carols to infuse a Christmas spirit to the gathering.

Kathryn Glover, a multi medal winner at the British transplant games, will switch on the Christmas lights at 7pm. “FirePoise” will be there demonstrating their thrilling fire dancing skills, the fire cadets will give a display and the Heart of Down highland dancers from Ballynahinch will be performing.

Among the many attractions for the youngsters are an assault course game, a last man standing game as well as the ever popular miniature steam train and children’s roundabout.

There will also be a tombola stall with lots of prizes to be won. Many of the shops will remain open during the fair for you to browse, so all is set for another successful Christmas event. There is sure to be something for everyone at the fair, so bring the whole family along for an evening of festive fun.
