Ruane Concerned at Kilkeel Decline

Sinn Féin MLA Caitriona Ruane has met with the Kilkeel Development Association to discuss the economic and physical future of Kilkeel.

Ms. Ruane said:xa0“I held a constructive meeting with the Association on the work it carries out on behalf of the entire community in Kilkeel.

“Provincial towns have been hit the most hardest during this period of recession so it is important that we have groups such as the KDA that will keep a focus on working to attract investment into the area.

“Kilkeel has also suffered from empty premises and physical decline and we need to address these problems before they get out of hand.

“I have promised to work along side the KDA to help revive Kilkeel as a busy provincial town.”
