Sinn Féin’s Emma Rogan has welcomed confirmation that the Department of Infrastructure is exploring an earlier sailing time for the Strangford Ferry.

The South Down MLA said: “I welcome confirmation from the Department of Infrastructure that they are exploring the possibility of running an earlier time for the Strangford ferry.

“The introduction of an earlier sailing time would alleviate long queues and make the daily commute more convenient.

“I will continue to lobby the Department to ensure an earlier ferry time can be put in place to meet the needs of workers and local residents.”
