Soith Down MPxa0Margaret Ritchie MP has welcomed confirmation from Royal Mail that the post box in Saul, Downpatrick, was returned to its original location and installed on the 14xa0of February.
Ms Ritchie said: “The post box was removed some months ago due to the installation of BT poles in the area.
“It was crucial that this service to the rural community was reinstated as it significantly relied upon by the residents in Saul and commuters through the village.
“Post boxes and Royal Mail services are important communication links for rural communities and I am pleased, following robust representations, this service will once again be available for the convenience and benefit of the Saul community.”
