Ritchie Welcomes Decision To Resurface Knocknashina Road In Downpatrick

dn_screenSouth Down MP Margaret Ritchie has unveiled plans for the resurfacing of the Knocknashina Road in Downpatrick.

Ms Ritchie said:xa0“After many representations to the Roads Service regarding the poor condition of the Knocknashina Road, I am delighted to announce that there is now a proposal in place to resurface the road. I believe the planned work will take place in the 2015/2016 financial year, subject to the necessary finance being made available. This resurfacing proposal is well overdue and will most definitely bring reassurance to all who use the Knocknashina Road.”

“In the interests of Road Safety, the plans for resurfacing of the Knocknashina Road is extremely important. We must remember that the safety of both motorists and pedestrians is paramount.”
