Ritchie Pursues Road Service For Improvements To Spa Road In Ballynahinch

dn_screenSDLP Parliamentary candidate for South Down Margaret Ritchie has urged Roads Service to carry out work on the Spa Road as a matter of priority to avoid damage to motor vehicles.

Ms Ritchie said today: “I have been advised by Roads Service that there are underlying problems with the surface of the road and for this reason, part of the road will be resurfaced within the next financial year, subject to funding. This road is in particularly bad condition with a large number of pot holes and uneven surfaces. It is imperative that Roads Service give it their urgent attention to decrease the risk of an accident occurring.

“I will continue to pursue this issue with Roads Service to ensure the standard of the road is acceptable for all road users.”
