Ms Ritchie was speaking during an opposition debate on the challenges being faced in Northern Ireland during an adjournment debate in the Commons yesterday. She said:xa0“The Narrow Water Bridge project is a great example of how far we have come as a community and in our North South relations. It also symbolises the future of our economy, which is in our tourism product, and this is now something, thanks to the peace process that we can export worldwide.

“Thexa0Minister is very aware of the pivotal importance of this project to trade, investment, tourism and economic opportunities to South Down, and Northern Ireland. I will continue to raise this at every level of government, as it is vital that funding from the Department of Finance and Personnel is forthcoming in the near future.”
