Rib Tickling Comedy Coming To Newcastle

The coming weekend holds laughs-a-plenty in store for Newcastle Summer Season audiences with William Caulfield in ‘Me, Myself and I‘ at 8pm on Friday 14 August and the brand new comedy from Theatre 3 Newtownabbey performing ‘Separate Beds’ at 8pm on Saturday 15 August in the Newcastle Centre.

masksThe ever-popular comedian William Caulfield is back on tour again with yet another brand new show. This year, as the title suggests, he leaves aside the comedy characters and takes to the stage on his own to do what he does best – great stand up comedy about our everyday lives here in Northern Ireland, and indeed around the world for that matter. Top humour from the first minute to the last.

A master storyteller with great skill at picking out the extraordinarily funny stuff from the ordinary and turning the spotlight on our own little foibles, this will be a night of laughter that you cannot afford to miss. Well known from his comedy shows both on BBC NI and Radio Ulster, this will be a balanced family friendly show.

William CaulfieldTheatre 3 Newtownabbey makes its debut appearance at the Newcastle Summer Season on Saturday 15 August with the Sam Cree comedy, Separate Beds. The story is set in the Marshall household where Judy is about to get married to Alan. However, with the return of her estranged mother, a next door neighbour making a play for her father, an up-tight future mother-in-law, a drunken housekeeper and a minister who can’t remember if it’s a wedding or a christening, the question is, will the wedding actually take place at all?! And will Judy’s father, Arthur remain sane for the event?

Don’t forget the FREE events on the Promenade this week – Join Aiden Milligan for the heart-pumping Drumming Circle on Wednesday 12 August (2pm – 4pm); on Thursday 23 August, Martin McParland will introduce the art of Outdoor Sketching (10am – 12 noon); on Saturday 15 August circus performer Caolan McBride will entertain kids and families on the promenade with lots of magic, surprises and laughs at 1pm & 2.30pm and on Sunday16 August the Banbridge Accordion Orchestra will bring the nostalgic sound of the big band to Newcastle from 3–5pm.
