RGU Notes For 16 November 2014

This year’s AGM will be held on Sunday 7 December at 8.00pm. Members can collect their nomination papers at the Club House any Sunday between 7-9pm or by contacting the Club Secretary Colm Mc Neill on 07815 839630. The deadline for returned nomination papers is Tuesday 2 December writes John Murphy.

Training for P4, P5 and P6 commences on Sat at Ballymote at 11.30am. £1 each and a bottle of water.

The last Hoop match this year resulted in a win for the U-21’s with an excellent performance against Mayobridge at PTR on Sunday. Final score RGU 1-18, Mayobridge 1-06.

Well done to our quiz team of Ronan Murphy, Padraig Doran, Tim Prenter and Louis Conway who won the East Down Scor final on Sun afternoon. Also congratulations to the girl’s team of Ciara Hanna, Lucy Prenter, Beth McDowell and Eilis Murphy who missed out on second place by a point. Well done to all and many thanks for participating.

U-14 Boys had a great evening at Ravenhill on Sat at the Game for Anto MND Fundraiser between Dublin and Ulster. Many thanks to the parents who helped out with transport.

Congratulations to Liam McCarron, Ryan Wynn, Ryan Sterritt, Morgan Fitzpatrick and Ronan Murphy who were presented with their Ulster Blitz medals at tonight’s East Down U-14 Development Squad presentation. Well done guys!

Down Ladies U-14 and U-6 trials will resume on Sunday 23 November at Annesborough. Check Down Ladies Facebook page for details.

The Jackpot was not won. 3x share £100. Winning numbers 1, 3, 5 & 13. Next weeks jackpot is £3,200.
