RGU Notes For 15 February 2015

Many thanks to all those who took the time on Saturday to take part in the Love Downe parade. Very heartening to see the club well represented writes John Murphy.

Fundraising Day for MS Society on Saturday 28 February. Big Breakfast 9am-1pm, Car Wash 9am-1pm. RGU Senior Ladies challenge match v Aughlisnafin at 6.30pm, followed by Andrea Rice Band in the clubhouse from 9pm. All welcome to come along and help support this very worthy cause.

dn_screenU-6.s are back at Ballymote on Saturday at 10.30am. The U-10 Boys, P5 & 6, are also back at 11.30am down at the club pitches. Remember your water bottles and boots.

Training for U-12 Boys and U-12 Girls on Sun at 11am down at club pitch. All boys and girls born in 2003 and 2004 are eligible. So if you are interested in playing this season you are more than welcome down. Just bring your boots and a water bottle and suitable gear for the weather.

Girl’s football training for P3-P7’s indoors at RGU clubhouse on Sat morning from 10-11am. All girls who are interested in playing football and joining in the fun and activities all year long are welcome. Don’t worry if you’ve never played before, come down and give it a go! U-14 Ladies training every Tuesday at RGU 6.45 – 8pm and Saturday

morning at 11.30am. For further information contact Brenda Murphy 07711223477. U-16 training started on Tueesday 17 Feb at 7pm at pitches, training times are Tue and Sun evenings at 7pm. All boys interested in playing this season are welcome along.

The RGU Ladies are back in action, training on Thur night and Sat morning at 11.30 at RGU. We’re delighted to see familiar faces again, and we invite new players, age 15 and over. Contact Edel (07759 418 419) for further information.

Thanks to everyone who attended the Friday night spin programme, there are plenty of bikes available it’s on next Friday from 8-9 pm Down Leisure Centre. The walking club is open to all members and this could be the first step in getting fit for the New Year and have a big of craic. Meeting at the Down Leisure Centre at 7.45pm. Remember the programme will run for the next 3 weeks and it’s FREE.
