RGU Notes For 14 July 2014

All quiet on the football front over the holiday period but things start back again next weekend with the seniors starting back with a league game in Glenn on Friday night. This will be an opportunity for a degree of revenge for the championship defeat in late June, but with a much depleted squad at present this will be a big ask against a very well drilled side at the Four Mile.

With Downs exit to Kildare at the weekend, it will be full steam ahead now on the club front so expect a non stop-itinerary in both league and championship from now on.

This applies on the juvenile front as well from next week . See Facebook and RGU web page for full details.

The Annual Cul camp took place laast week at PTR and as usual. The week was enjoyed by the large numbers who attended. A big thank you to Ciaran Murtagh and his coaches.

There was a great turnout at St Patrick’s Golf Club on Friday for the Annual Golf Tean event. The weather held fair for the day and the winning team of a fabulous prize were the four man team headed by Eamon Fitzsimons, RGU’s National Referee’s assessor who was accompanied by Saul Chairman Brendan Mullen along with Christopher Mullen and Barry Sharvin.

A big thank you to our sponsors, particularly our headline sponsors, Premier Electrics, MB McGrady & Co and all those who sponsored the individual tees. Also a special thanks to organisers Mart Brady, Mal McGrady, Colm McNeill & Tommy Hogan. Also the catering team at the 11th: Roisins x 2 Aoife and Paula.
