RGU Notes For 10 August 2014

Four in a row for the Seniors tonight away against Liatriom. A good performance but it took a late goal to finally put Liatriom away on a scoreline of 1-12 to 1-08. The players are now assured of a top six position, well done. Next up is the win or bust match in the Championship against Bryansford. Throw in is at 3pm in Ballykinlar on Sunday afternoon, so let’s all get out and support our team writes John Murphy.

dn_screenTwo IFC matches at PTR on Sat afternoon, first up at 2pm is St John’s V Teconnaught followed by Carryduff V Saul.

Our U-14 and U-12 Girls make the trip down to our namesakes down in Kilshannig Co Cork this weekend. We wish them well and hope that they have an enjoyable weekend.

Fair play to RGU & Saul U-12’s for a very entertaining match at PTR which ended all square 4-7 apiece. In driving rain which only worsened as the match went on both teams showed tremendous energy, drive and skill throughout. Well done to both teams.

Good result for the U-16’s last Thur at PTR. They won their final league match against St John Bosco 2-15 to 3-08 and will finish 3rd in the table. Championship next week at home to Glenn.

The U-6’s and U-8’s have returned to training on Saturday Sat at 10.30 down at the club.
