annual RGU 10k road race will take place on Wednesday July 27th, start time 7.30pm writes Michael Starkey. Registration in the Club House from 5.30pm. If you are not up for the 10k run you could opt for the 5k relay or do the 10k walk at your leisure. Entry fee is £7 which includes post race refreshments. All proceeds will go to Action Cancer. The senior footballers resume their league campaign with a home fixture on Friday 29th July against Ballymartin. Please come along and lend your support, and hopefully the lads will continue with the good string of results that they put together before the holiday break. The U-12’s will welcome their visitors from Kilshannig, Co Cork, xa0this weekend. The visitors will arrive on Friday afternoon and the club has arranged a welcome barbeque on Friday evening. We would like to extend an invitation to all members to come downxa0and meet our visitors and make them feel welcome. They have promised not to mention last Saturday in Croke Park! There will be an invitational U-12 blitz on Saturday and the weekend will be crowned off by the staging of the inaugural Tomas Russell cup match between the RGU and Kilshannig on Sunday. Could all the Under-14 boys who have draw tickets for the Cork visit please return them by this Thursday 28th July. Thexa0Cul Camp this summerxa0at the RGU will run from 15th to 19th August. The U-10’s, 8’s and 6’s got back together again on Saturday morning for their first sessions after the break, and not only was it a great morning weather wise, but there was also a great turn out. Training will continue for these age groups on Saturday mornings at 10.30am. The U-10’s will also train on Thursdays at 7.00pm. The U-16 boys have only stopped training this week, and will not be back in action until Monday 8th August when they will have a training session at 7pm. Lotto numbers for this week were 3, 19, 20, and 24. Jackpot not won, 3 share £100. Next week’s jackpot £2600. Set dancing continues on Tuesday nights at 7.30.
