RGU Notes 10th November 2013

THE Club was saddened to hear of the death of Bernie Murdoch, a past Club member and Lotto seller. We extend our sympathy to her family. A Mhuire, Banrion na nGael guigh ar a hanam. Anyone interested in helping with our juvenile teams must complete a Child Protection course. Also anyone who has completed one prior to 2009 must get it renewed. If you are interested in this and completing a Foundation Level Gaelic coaching course please contact John on 07881 626972 writes John Murphy.  The U-6’s will be back on Sat 23 November at Ballymote Sports Centre, 10.30am – 11.30am. We hope to see you all. Thanks to the Police and Community Safety Partnership for funding the Halloween Diversity Sporting 8 week programme in conjunction with the club. Training for Juvenile Girls commences again at Ballymote on Saturday at 11.30-12.30. All U-14 and U-12 girls welcome, especially newcomers. Come down and give it a go! RGU school’s coaching programme has now commenced in St Colmcille’s, St Brigid’s and OLSP under the guidance of Gerdie Collins, John Polly and Conor McGrady. RGU mass for deceased players, members and friends of the RGU will be celebrated on Wed 20th November at 7.30pm in St Patrick’s. Nomination forms for club AGM can be collected at the club or requested on-line from secretary.downpatrick.down@gaa.ie, AGM will be held at club on Sun 17 November at 8pm. We would encourage all members to attend and help make the decisions that affect the club, no point in complaining from the sidelines, come down and have your say.
