RGU Club Notes For 16 February 2014

Well done to Tim Prenter, Rhys Cunninghan and Philip Doran who won their respective Ulster Championship handball quarter finals this morning in Belfast writes John Murphy.

They now join Ronan Murphy and Ryan Sterritt, who won their quarter final on Saturday and are in the semi-final stage next Sunday in Kingscourt. Also well done to Tom McNeill, Sean Fitzsimmons, Aoife Barnes, Rachel McKeown, Eoin Watterson & Eoin McGrattan who competed in the Ulsters for the first time but unfortunately did not make it through.dn_screen

The RGU schools programme continues with the P5’s on Monday and the P6’s and P7’s on Thursday and Friday respectively. Just return your school permission slip as soon as possible, all free of charge. All welcome, don’t worry if you miss the first week you can attend at any time.

U-12 boys, born 2002 and 2003, training on Tuesday evening at 7-8pm in main hall in the Leisure Centre. Anyone who wants to play this season is invited down. Just bring £1, waterbottle, mouthguard and suitable footwear. Membership forms will be handed out at the end of the session.

U-12  and U-14 Juvenile Girls at Ballymote on Saturday at 11.30am, U-6’s, P1’s and P2’s, are back at the usual time of 10.30.am. Don’t forget everyone to bring your pounds and mouthguards for each session.

U-14 Girls training on Tuesday nights at 7-8pm sharp on top pitch at RGU. Please bring membership, water bottle, gloves and mouthguard. Wear suitable clothing for the weather. Any new girls welcome to join in.

The U-10’s, P5 and P-6’s, continue on Saturday, training will be at 11:30am on the bottom pitch (entry by bottom gate). Kids will need £1, a mouthguard and a drink.

There will be a meeting for parents and U-8 (P3 nad P4) players next Saturday at the club at 10.30am to sort out membership forms and parents contact details. Training will start for U-8’s the following Saturday 1 Mar outdoors at the club. This year the managers will be David McMullan and Paul Gilchrist.

Membership forms will be given out for each team as they start. You will not be able to train if you are not a registered member; membership is only £25 each with discounts for 2 or more children. U-6 membership is only £5.

The Lotto jackpot is not won. 11 share £100. Numbers 5, 10, 19 & 21. Next weeks jackpot £3,900.
