Possible Slieve Croob Bus Shelter Sites Examined

Sinn Féin’s Chris Hazzard MLA and Slieve Croob Councillor Pól Ó Gribín joined Transport NI and Newry Mourne and Down District Council officials at site meetings of four possible new bus shelters in the wider Slieve Croob area.

The sites are Turleys Crossroads, Annsborough, Clonvoraghan & Drumaroad were viewed.

South Down MLA Chris Hazzard said:xa0″I want to thank TransportNI and Newry, Mourne & Down Council officials for joining us this morning as we continue to explore how we can meet the transport needs of our local rural community.

“For some time now Sinn Féin have been seeking ways in which we can install much needed bus shelters in these rural areas so I’m delighted that we have begun the process of seeing what is possible.”

Cllr Pól Ó Gribín added:xa0″Hopefully over the next few months we will finish the design and consultation stages and be in the exciting position of announcing these much needed shelters in time for the winter months.”
