Starting on Monday 22nd July and shown over eight episodes, viewers will see Joe visit yet more feats of engineering in beautiful locations, and interview experts who’ll talk about their design and construction. To name a few, viewers will learn about Bleachgreen Viaduct, Rathlin Island Lighthouse, Clady Bridge and Carnlough Harbour.

Following ULSTER GIANTS will be LOUGH ERNE, where Joe unearths the diverse features that make this lake one of the most beautiful and busy in Fermanagh.  Again on the back of the success of Lough Neagh which ran last year, Lough Erne, where Joe explores the mazy waterways and secluded islands that make this Fermanagh lake an everlasting source of fascination for visitors and natives alike.

Joe said of the new series, “We were all delighted with the success of the series last year and it’s been a real privilege to continue in the same vein and further explore our architectural giants and turn our attention to a different but equally beautiful stretch of water in Northern Ireland. Making these programmes was a hugely enjoyable learning experience and I can’t wait to share what we’ve uncovered with the viewers.”

Terry Brennan, Head of News and Programmes, “In the 20 plus years that Joe has been bringing programmes to our homes,  he has enthralled and delighted the viewers with his unique style,  outstanding locations, amazing characters, and delightful stories, and with these new series, that trend will continue.   We are absolutely thrilled at UTV that Joe has uncovered yet more amazing stories about Northern Ireland’s heritage.”N
