Police Seize Haul Of Cannabis In Newcastle

PSNI officers from Newcastle’s Neighbourhood Policing Team have seized cannabis plants worth an estimated street value of over £10,000. Other drug related equipment was also seized following the search of a house in the Burrendale Park Road area on Friday 17th June. A 31-year old man has been charged with cultivating cannabis and will appear at Downpatrick Magistrates Court at a date to be confirmed. As is normal procedure the charges will be reviewed by the Public Proscecution Service.
