Police Make Drugs Arrest In Downpatrick

Police officers from Newry Mourne and Down District Support Team seized a large quantity of suspected class A and class B controlled drugs and arrested a woman following a search of a house in the Kingsfield Avenue area of Downpatrick on the afternoon of Tuesday 7 June.

dn_screenSuspected class A and B controlled drugs with an estimated street value of £15,500, along with a large quantity of cash was seized during the search. A car, believed to have been obtained with the proceeds of crime was also seized. The 48-year old woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of class A and B controlled drugs, being concerned in the supply of Class A and B controlled drugs and possessing criminal property. She was interviewed and subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries. The police investigation is continuing.
