At around 2am yesterday morning (Wednesday 2 December) a group of people were seen acting suspiciously in the area of English Street in Downpatrick.
A short time later a creeper burglary occurred in the area of the Demesnes in Downpatrick where a red BMW convertible car was stolen with its keys.
The car later crashed and a number of arrests quickly followed by the police.xa0Three xa0people continue to help police with their enquiries following a short hospital treatment following the crash.
A PSNI spokesman said they would like to thank their colleagues from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service and Northern Ireland Ambulance Service for their assistance in this.
Detectives in Downpatrick are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a group acting suspiciously in the early hours of yesterday morning.
