Police seek information following death of a woman in Ballynahinch

The house in Ballynahinch’s Dromore Street where a woman died late on Thursday evening.

Detectives investigating the death of a 20-year-old woman in Ballynahinch on Thursday 2nd December initially have arrested three men.

Police appeal for information on a woman’s death in Ballynahinch.


Police received a report at around 8.30pm that a woman was found collapsed within a unit of flats on Dromore Street in Ballynahinch. It was later confirmed that the woman had died.

The three men – two aged 26 and one aged 30 – that were arrested on suspicion of manslaughter have been subsequently released on police bail pending further enquiries.

A post-mortem examination will take place in due course to determine the cause of death.

Appealing for information, Detective Sergeant Ritchie said: “We would ask if anyone was in the wider Dromore Street area on Thursday night and noticed anything suspicious at this address.

The police are appealing for information. Someone may have dashcam footage of the area around Dromore Street, a busy area, for late Thursday evening.
