Police Inquiry After Ballygowan Vehicle Arson

A car and a van were burned in Ballygowan

Detectives in Bangor are appealing for information after a car and a van were set on fire in Ballygowan, on Thursday 25th September.

A report was received shortly after 10pm on Thursday evening (25th September 2025), that an Audi Q5 car and a Citroen Berlingo van, parked outside a property in the Saintfield Road area of the town, had been set alight.

Police attended along with colleagues from Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service who extinguished the fires.

No injuries were reported as a result of the fires, which are being treated as arson. Both vehicles were, however, completely destroyed.

Enquiries are continuing and anyone with information including CCTV, dash-cam, or other footage of the area that could help the investigation is asked to contact detectives in Bangor on 101, quoting reference number 1575 25/09/25.
